Frequently Asked Questions

Does my app need to be rewritten in Swift or Objective-C?

No. Your application can be written either in Swift or Objective-C. Shakebug works with both languages.
You just add the ShakeBug package with Swift Package Manager.

Do I need to signup to use Shakebug?

Yes, of course! Without an account, you will not be able to get the application key and its bugs/crashes.
So you must need it.

I already used a other crash reporting tool, will it work?

No problem, Shakebug can work without any issue with other analytics and crash reporting tools.

Is Shakebug framework safe for the App Store?

Yes! In fact, most of our customers use ShakeBug in App Store builds to collect customer feedback.

Can I use ShakeBug in a React Native App?

Yes, you can install ShakeBug into a React Native project by using the following npm command:

npm install shakebug-react-native

Can I use ShakeBug in a Flutter App?

Yes. ShakeBug now ships as an official Flutter plugin, so you can integrate it with pure Dart — no changes to your native iOS or Android code are needed. Just run flutter pub add shakebug (or add shakebug to your pubspec.yaml and run flutter pub get), then initialize it. See the Flutter installation guide for the full setup.

Is Shakebug available for an Android app?

Yes, you can use for android project as well.

Do you offer on-premise or self-hosted deployment?

Yes. Shakebug offers on-premise (self-hosted) deployment for Enterprise customers, so your bug, crash, session and event data stays on your own infrastructure. Our SDKs support a custom endpoint URL out of the box, so they can point to your self-hosted instance instead of our cloud. Email us at support@shakebug.com with “Enterprise Plan” in the subject line for a custom quote.
